GiftLode started with a simple question: why is collecting money from friends so awkward, and why are group gifts so... boring?
Our story
You know the drill. A friend's birthday is coming up. Someone creates a group chat. "Hey everyone, let's chip in for Sarah's gift!" Then comes the chaos.
Half the group sends money via Venmo. Some use PayPal. One person sends cash. Someone forgets entirely. The organizer is stuck tracking who paid what in a spreadsheet, chasing people for days, and ultimately sending a generic gift card with a "From: Everyone" note.
Sarah opens it, says thank you, and... that's it. No personal messages. No sense of how many people actually contributed. No memorable moment.
We thought: there has to be a better way.
GiftLode is that better way. We handle the coordination, the reminders, and the organization. We let everyone add their own personal touch - a message, a video, a photo, even an AI-assisted message. And when it's time for the big reveal, we turn it into a celebration worth remembering.

Creating and managing a GiftLode is free. No setup or platform surprises.
Your contribution creates two gifts
95% of each contribution builds the recipient's gift card. The other 5% creates a personalised video keepsake they'll have forever.
Gift card provider commissions
The gift card providers we partner with pay us a small commission (2-5%). This comes from the provider, not from contributions.
We never sell your data
Your information is yours. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for advertising.
